We are therefore thrilled to announce and invite you to our NEW 3-Day Allied Healthcare Summer School.
This immersive experience includes 3 full days of residential work exposure alongside doctors and healthcare experts in a simulated setting. You will engage in:
- 3 days of work experience covering various fields such as Nursing, Midwifery, Paramedicine, Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Dietetics, Radiography, Prosthetics and Orthotics, Speech and Language Therapy, and Pharmacy
- 2 nights of accommodation and catering for all 3 days
- First Aid training and certification
- Basic clinical skills workshops including Blood Pressure and Cannulation Training
- Educational sessions NHS values and ethics
- Insights into career pathways delivered by Allied Healthcare Professionals
- Collaborative work experience as part of a multidisciplinary team
This programme is available to students in Years 12/S5/NI13 – Years 13/S6/NI14, preparing you for essential healthcare topics and clinical skills before university.
