Frequently Asked Questions
National Healthcare Weekend will be taking place on the 19th and 20th March 2022 online, via your own unique portal! We highly recommend that you register for this in advance because spaces do fill up very quickly!
The great thing about attending the weekend Live is that you have the opportunity to speak to a variety of healthcare professionals virtually via zoom. However, if you are unable to attend the LIVE event, you can opt to register for the NHW E-learning course which will be available throughout April for you to watch all of the recorded talks. This provides greater flexibility because you do not have to be committed for a specific date and students can work through the talks in their own time during the month of April.
All students will receive a certificate of attendance. This event is something that you can list on your UCAS application under the section entitled ‘what courses have you attended that prepare you for higher education’. Therefore, attending the event (LIVE or via the e-learning) is useful for your UCAS application!
- Occupational Therapists
- Speech and language therapists
You will be asked to log into your unique online portal with a username and password. These will be emailed to you in March.
Once you have logged in you will gain access to a detailed agenda for the day. There will be a LIVE stream for whole group talks on things such as personal statements, choosing a career wisely and how to tackle interviews.
You will also be able to select workshops to attend during the ‘breakout sessions’, based on careers that you are interested in. These will be via zoom and you will be able to listen to career specific talks from a variety of healthcare professionals and spend some time asking them questions too.
Each day starts at 10am and ends at 4pm.
